Ms Sive Stofile is the newly appointed Grants Manager for ICSS. Prior to joining ICSS, she worked for the National Research Foundation of South Africa (NRF) where her major time responsibility was to conceptualise, implement and subsequently manage funding programmes in line with the organisation’s vision and the various Department of Science and Technology (DST) strategies. This included an end-to-end process from writing conceptual proposals and frameworks to monitoring the progress of the programmes and identifying and addressing risks, challenges and opportunities central to the success of the investments. Prior to joining the NRF, she worked in grants management at another South African government agency established to invest in biotechnology research and start-up companies and has been involved in a project management role in various local NGOs focusing on youth development and child welfare. Sive obtained a Bsc in Microbial Biotechnology and holds Postgraduate Diplomas in Business Administration and in Public and Development Management. She is currently studying towards a Masters Degree in Public and Development Management at the University of the Witwatersrand School of Governance.
