International Civil Society Support (ICSS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Rico Gustav to the role of Senior Policy Adviser, Sustainability.
Mr. Gustav will lead on the development of the Civil Society Sustainability Network, which aims to mobilize support for medium and long-term sustainability of HIV- and TB-related programming for civil society and key and vulnerable populations as donors and countries continue to withdraw financial support from middle-income countries.
Activities of the Civil Society Sustainability Network include building and supporting a strong global network of effective advocates with meaningful involvement of those living in the most affected countries and regions, to redefine premature and harmful transitions and to hold all stakeholders to account on responsible transition planning.
Peter van Rooijen, Executive Director at ICSS, said “As a leader with vast experience at national, regional and global level, Rico brings a unique perspective and skillset to the ICSS team and to this important area of work, contributing to comprehensive sustainability frameworks for HIV and TB programmes. We are excited to welcome him on board.”
